Dear Kendall County Woman reader,
As a wife, mother, and business executive…I can attest the unique challenges and pressures that we feel about our work and home life.
I think this is why I enjoyed Dr. Liz McRae’s article this month for our cover story. Obviously a passionate doctor in the medical field, she had to navigate through raising her children, growing her practice, and then struggling to maintain her motivation in an industry being ravaged by the insurance companies. So after much consideration, she had to make some tough decisions, but as you’ll see, they ultimately led her to more satisfaction both at work and at home, and I just find that wonderful. Having the courage to make hard decisions for the improvement of one’s life is not always as easy as it sounds, and so I applaud her.
As we enter the Spring months, there’s a lot happening. Spring Break looms, the temperatures are climbing, and we’re even looking toward our summer trips and plans. I hope that this issue of Kendall County Woman helps with all of these thoughts, and you find the information useful and engaging.
As always, I want to extend an invitation for feedback – if you know of a great story regarding a local woman or business, we’d like to hear it. Obviously we have found many many wonderful stories and profiles on some great local women, but we know that we don’t’ know everyone, so we appreciate all of the tips you have!
Also, if you have a knack for writing, I’d like to talk to you! We are always on the hunt for aspiring writers to help us tell all of these wonderful stories. So drop us a note!
Thank you for reading, and I hope that you have a most blessed Spring!
