Dear Kendall County Woman reader,

Welcome to 2022! It really feels good to turn the
corner into a new year with new possibilities and new goals!

I know that these past couple of years have been rough on most of us, and our cover story, Audrey Zuber, owner of Punkin Butt and Sheepish Distribution, understand these challenges more than most. With a catalog of products that are distributed literally around the globe, Zuber has persevered not only through a trying time economically, but through many challenges associated with the loss of her husband. She has not only cultivated a growing global brand, but has been busy raising her 3 children, and finding ways to keep her business thriving and her family smiling…all from her home in Bergheim. I hope you enjoy this story – it’s one of my favorites.

Beyond that, we have a variety of great articles featuring many of our local businesses and we hope that you will take a moment to frequent them this season. As we all know, small businesses have been hit hard the past couple of years and need your support badly. Almost every one of our profiles in the publication are centered around small business women, and I know that they’d appreciate your support.

As always, we welcome your feedback. We get dozens of emails each issue with suggestions and ideas for future profiles and articles, and we always want to encourage you to not be shy – reach out and let’s start a conversation. If you know of a great story or an interesting woman that would make sense for our pages, shoot me an email. We are always on the hunt for future ideas, and it’s always so fun when those ideas come from our readers.

Thanks so much for reading, and on behalf of the entire staff, we wish you a most blessed 2022.

Sincerely,

Peggy Schooley
